A planned expansion to boost Marquis Energy’s capacity to 300 MMgy required a new control system, but the plant could not afford any lost production time. In this webinar, learn about the business decisions and systems design that made installation of a new distributed control system possible during a scheduled three-day outage. For 12 weeks, teams did pre-engineering work to deliver a completely redesigned and rewritten control system. On site, engineers removed the original and installed the new DCS, plus a customized cabling system to use existing field terminations. During installation, the plant never felt the full impact of any downtime.
